So here I am creating yet another website focusing on my music. As of January 2014, I will have been taking classes/working/teaching/performing in the field of Middle Eastern and related Dances for 20 years. Wow!
Some of my fans & friends are aware of this, but not everyone: dance was something that took off when I was making other plans. At the time I started taking dance classes, I had just moved to Portland, OR where I was focusing on my music - a professional music program at PCC with Electronic Music, playing guitar for a church, making solo recordings under the stage name Fell.Head, and playing with Cult Of One's Colonel Panic in the experimental duet Tension Factor.
Ah, good times...good times.
Some of my friends say, "You did this, now you do that, now you do this again." I find this funny. To me, movement & music are the same. Perhaps it's the synesthetic experience.
This means some exciting plans for me, though. Now, armed with a working understanding of movement and dance presentation, my music holds a deeper meaning for me. I have seen music take physical shape rather than just the movements in my head. I've studied how to make these things happen.
It's a very exciting time.
So this page is dedicated to my musical endeavours and a bit of crossover to my dance world. As mentioned, to me they are inextricably intertwined.
Welcome to my new page. Hope you enjoy the visit, and hope to see you at one of my upcoming shows!
